Drowning
You hold your head
Underneath the rushing current
As you come back up gasping for breath you realize
That life is not worth living without a risk or two
To keep things bright
To make things new
Quit your job or take a hike anything to make things right for you
Hold on tight to your friends and your heart
But let yourself go at least once in a while
Keep yourself from
Drowning
In this life of yours do something that feels right
Something that sings true
Something that keeps your head above the surface
So you don't drown and disappear from our very sight.

I like the lay out. I can't say much about poetry though... I'm not an expert...
